About Love Lily Rose
Love Lily Rose was founded in 2012 by me, Lorna. I work from home in Essex where I live with my Husband, 2 daughters and a stinky little dog called Elki. Having always been creative I was instantly hooked when I came across metal clay and its many possibilities so with my gorgeous daughters, Lily-Mae and Sophia Rose, as my main driving force and inspiration, Love Lily Rose was born!
I lovingly handcraft each keepsake and piece of jewellery myself using Art Clay Silver, a modelling material made by combining pure silver particles with an organic binder which when fired becomes 99.9% solid silver.
All fittings and findings used by Love Lily Rose are sterling silver and I pride myself on making each individual piece to the highest standard, providing you with truly bespoke keepsakes that I hope you love wearing as much as I love creating.
Your jewellery will arrive wrapped in blue tissue paper and packaged with an anti-tarnish strip and care instructions in white or grey Love Lily Rose signature gift boxes.
The latest collection Daisy (inspired by the newest addition to our family, Olivia Daisy) offers sterling silver charms that were originally designed and handcrafted by me before being cast in 925 sterling silver.
|What is Art Clay Silver? Art Clay Silver composed of micron sized silver particles, organic binders and water. The clay is then moulded into its desired design, dried and fired. During the firing process, the organic binders burn away and the resulting silver particles become denser and stronger, the remaining piece is composed of 99.9% pure silver. |
Art Clay is manufactured in Japan by Aida Chemical Industries, a family owned company that recycles and reclaims metals, including the precious metals gold and silver. Aida Chemical Industries is a "green" company. It collects metals which already have been used and reclaims these metals. Such items as computer circuit boards and silver from photographic supplies are processed in tremendous quantities every year. A portion of this harvest becomes Art Clay Silver and Art Clay Gold. Aida combines these reclaimed metals with non-toxic, organic binders and the result is a product which can be handled safely. Every effort has been made to assure the safety of artists using Art Clay. Even the production processes used to create Art Clay are designed to have minimal effects on the environment.
What is the difference between Sterling Silver and Pure Silver? Sterling Silver is composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of one or more other metals, the addition of another metal to the silver creates an alloy. Sterling Silver is stronger than Pure Silver, and as an alloy, it can tarnishes quicker. Pure Silver is composed of 99.9% silver and nothing else.
